THE FOLLOWING UPGRADE CLASSES ARE CURRENTLY !!! IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION !!! To register for these enhancement classes, please call 812/853-9312, ext. 102 or 866/431-8138, ext. 102. Leave your name, UBC#, telephone number, local number, class you want to enroll in, dates of the class, and the location of the class. PLEASE SPEAK CLEARLY. This is the only way to register for the enhancement classes. We will only call you if the class is cancelled. WE DO NOT CALL TO VERIFY THAT YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR THE CLASS!!!. If you do not hear from us, the class will be held as scheduled and you are enrolled.SPECIAL NOTICE: YOU MUST CALL AT LEAST THREE (3) BUSINESS DAYS

***SIEMENS-WESTINGHOUSE (S.W.G.S.) UPDATE*** As of September 1, 2004 Westinghouse will require the UBC Millwright 16 Hour Health & Safety Card, (see the highlighted Turbine Training Update section below) to work on their jobsites.... training classes will continue to be offered. Check above for future dates.

***TURBINE TRAINING UPDATE*** As of September 1, 2004 the requirements for attending turbine training in Las Vegas have increased. In order to attend the training you are required to have the UBC Millwright 16 Hour Health & Safety course, the UBC Rigging Qualification Class, Hytorc Class and the GE Turbine Familiarization Class. If you already have your OSHA 10 card you will only need the second day of the 16-hour safety course. (DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR OSHA 10 CARD) THE UBC MILLWRIGHT 16 HR. CLASS IS ONLY A SUPPLEMENT TO THE OSHA 10, IT IS NOT A 16 HR. OSHA CARD, YOU WILL STILL NEED YOUR OSHA 10 CARD TO GET ON WORKSITES AS WELL. IF YOU HAVE DISCARDED YOUR OSHA 10 CARD, YOU NEED TO CONTACT THE APPR. SCHOOL TO TRY AND OBTAIN ANOTHER. Check above for future dates.

***TVA UPDATE*** As of September 1, 2004 TVA will require the 10 hour OSHA card to work on any of their jobsites. Alstom at TVA has also recently made it a requirement, that Millwrights working on their turbines, must have the turbine training class given at our International Training Center in Las Vegas!!! Make arrangements to get the 16 Hour UBC Millwright Health & Safety Card by scheduling a class when they come available and be covered for both TVA and Westinghouse!!!
