A Big "THANK YOU" to all the members and families who came out!!!
TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE
Started as an idea by APM Superintendent Kenny Kennard to try and raise money for a local "Toys for Tots" drive, 1080 Member Jamie Elliott set out on a job wide donation collection from all the Southwestern Indiana Building Trades Union Crafts working at the Duke Energy-Gibson Station Power Plant. The money raised totaled nearly $2500.00. On Friday, Dec. 8th, Jamie, along with other 1080 members Bob Dunn, Jon Dunn, Lee Simpson, Mike Sinclair, their families and Linda Rice with APM (who was extremely helpful with the coordination), purchased many toys and delivered them to the collection site in Princeton Indiana. Channel 14 News came up from Evansville to cover their donation. Many "THANKS" go out to the Union Brothers & Sisters who donated...you have definitely made the difference in some child's Christmas this year!!!!

1080 Members joined with other IN/KY Regional Council members, Labor Organizations, Politicians & other groups at Kentucky's Capitol Building in Frankfort to oppose Right-to-Work & Prevailing Wage Legislation.
Millwright 1080 member Rick McKee and Carpenter 90 members Roy Zenthoefer & Stan Wheeler set up a mobile hotdog stand and passed out many hotdogs, sodas & water to tornado victims in Newburgh IN.
